Hellsinki Metal Festival has secured its place among the city’s great event offerings. This outdoor festival, held for the third time, will take place in the Helsinki Ice Hall area on Nordenskiöldinkatu, more commonly known as Nordis.

All common payment methods are accepted at ticket vendors, including online banking, card payments, Mobile Pay, PayPal, invoicing, gift cards, and cultural benefits.

Wristband exchange
Hellsinki Metal Festival wristband exchange points open on Wednesday 6.8.2025 at Forum, Mall of Tripla, and Helsinki Ice Hall. The exchange points will be open as follows:

Festival area and arrival
HELLSINKI METAL FESTIVAL is held at the Helsinki Ice Hall area on Nordenskiöldinkatu, commonly known as Nordis.
A detailed area map with services will be announced closer to the event.
There are three stages in the festival area.
Arrival
There is no dedicated parking for the festival, and parking spaces in the surrounding area are limited, so we recommend arriving by public transportation or on foot. Töölö has narrow sidewalks and busy traffic, so please allow plenty of time to reach the festival area and follow traffic rules.
Wristband Exchange & Accreditation
Hellsinki Metal Festival wristband exchange points open next Wednesday at Forum, Mall of Tripla, and Helsinki Ice Hall. The exchange points will be open as follows:

Thu 7 Aug 2025: 14:00–20:00
Fri 8 Aug 2025: 10:00–13:00
There will be a cloakroom at the festival entrance where you can store your belongings during the festival’s opening hours.
Water Stations
Water stations are available in the outdoor area near the RIP area and the food world, as well as next to the entrance of the ice hall. You can also easily refill your water bottle in the restrooms inside the ice hall.
Payment Methods
Card payments and cash are accepted at the festival area. In the food world and special drinks sellers, only card payments are accepted. We recommend contactless payment.
R.I.P. area
Experience the ultimate metal festival with the unique R.I.P. area! The ticket includes, among other things, an exclusive festival entrance, your own bar, and restrooms. You also get 1 hot meal per day. Enjoy the exclusive area with a direct view of the main stage. In the covered space, you can rest your legs between gigs while enjoying a refreshing drink or even a relaxing massage.
The R.I.P. (Really Important Person) ticket includes:

*Each R.I.P ticket includes one (1) hot meal per festival day. You can collect your meal from any of the food stalls listed below. These specific vendors offer the R.I.P menu – meals are served upon presenting your R.I.P meal voucher.
Please note that meals cannot be exchanged or combined. You may choose one meal per day from the listed options.
Kindly note that there is no separate queue for R.I.P customers at food stalls – all guests are served in order of arrival.

Security
Any form of bullying, violence, or hate speech is not welcome at Hellsinki Metal Festival. If you feel unsafe at the festival or witness inappropriate behavior, please report it to the nearest security guard. We want to provide everyone with a positive and friendly environment, which is why we have zero tolerance for such actions.
SECURITY CHECK
Security guards will conduct security checks at the entrance. All festival-goers must pass through a security check when entering through the festival gates. All bags will be inspected before entry to the festival area.

• Backpacks and bags, max capacity of 18 liters
• Cameras (max. 70mm lens)

Additionally, the distribution of posters and flyers, as well as crowd surfing, is prohibited in the festival area.
Security guards have the right to also prohibit any other item they deem necessary. Ice-hall stage has a stric maximum capacity.
FIRST AID
Hellsinki Metal Festival is prepared for accidents and minor injuries. The festival area will have a comprehensive first aid point and skilled first aid personnel. You can find the first aid point on the festival map, which will be published closer to the event. The festival’s first aid team can treat minor injuries on-site and provide emergency care within the festival area. If you need help, approach any festival staff member, first aid worker, or security personnel. The exact location of the first aid point will be published on the map closer to the event.

We have a zero-tolerance policy for all forms of violence, bullying, hate speech, discrimination, and harassment.
If you feel unsafe or witness any inappropriate behaviour during the festival, please report it to the nearest security personnel or contact our Equality and Harassment Officer.

Accommodation
Helsinki offers plenty of great hotel options for every taste and budget – whether you’re into high-thread-count sheets or just need a mattress and a door that locks.
Since Hellsinki Metal Festival takes place right in the heart of the city, getting to the venue is easy no matter where you stay. Public transport runs smoothly, taxis are available, and you can even walk if you’re up for a short urban metal pilgrimage.
Please note: there is no camping area at the festival. We recommend booking your accommodation early.
Lost & found
All lost property from Hellsinki Metal Festival – including items left in the cloakroom – will be sent to Found service:
Items will be collected from the festival area on Monday 11.8., and will be available for inquiry through their system starting from 3 PM on Monday.
