Hellsinki Metal Festival announces daily lineup

One-day tickets go on sale March 31

One of the most anticipated heavy music events of the summer, Hellsinki Metal Festival will return for the third time this August at the Helsinki Ice Hall, known familiarly as Nordis. The two-day celebration takes place on August 8–9, and once again, the festival’s lineup is drawing significant attention.

The genre-spanning event will feature performances from acts such as Venom, who will close out Saturday, and King Diamond, who headlines Friday. Other notable names include Napalm Death, Hatebreed and Candlemass. One of the most interesting live experiences of the summer is also expected to be Blood Fire Death – A Tribute to Quorthon and the music of Bathory, a special performance featuring members from bands such as Watain, Aura Noir and Enslaved.

The daily lineup for Hellsinki Metal Festival is now public. One-day tickets go on sale on March 31st, via Ticketmaster, Lippupiste and Tiketti. A one-day ticket costs 129 €.

As always, the festival will include a variety of additional entertainment, such as the Dark Art Gallery, launched last year, which is currently accepting artist submissions.

For fans of Children of Bodom, the BODOM BADLANDS exhibition returns, along with the Bodom Sauna, which doubles as the festival’s ultimate vantage point, complete with its own bar and direct view of the main stage. Each sauna session fits a group of 15 friends, with 6 to 8 people allowed on the benches at one time. Sessions are limited and will go on sale soon.
