Cult of Luna

Cult of Luna is a Swedish post-metal band formed in UmeƄ in 1998. They are known for their layered and atmospheric compositions that combine heavy guitar riffs with calmer, melodic passages. Their music often features long, dynamic structures, with some songs exceeding ten minutes in length.

The band gained international attention with their 2004 album Salvation, which showcased their ability to blend powerful sounds with ambient atmospheres. Since then, they have released several critically acclaimed albums, including Somewhere Along the Highway (2006) and Mariner (2016), the latter featuring a collaboration with vocalist Julie Christmas.

Cult of Luna is also known for their intense live performances and visual stage shows that complement their atmospheric and dynamic sound. They are regarded as one of the leading names in post-metal.
